Support My Journey

No one knows better than you, an orthopaedic patient yourself, the value of pain free movement. You know the impact orthopaedic care has played in your own life and, most importantly, you know that bone and joint care can be life changing.

In celebration of pain free movement, I am participating in the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation’s Step Challenge. The Step Challenge is the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation’s virtual fundraising walk, in which we track our steps for 5 days.

As you may know I have joined the ranks of orthopaedic patients having undergone a knee replacement operation myself just over a year ago.  This has reinforced to me, more than anything else, the value of orthopaedic surgery in the restoration of normal living.

I am writing to askyou’re your support by supporting my team “No Bones About It” @  This is a tax deductible donation to the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation.

The Step Challenge brings communities together for a common goal – to help the millions of Canadians suffering from arthritis, osteoporosis, injury and other disorders return to a life of independent, pain free movement through bone and joint surgery and treatment. Participants across the country will use fitness trackers and count their steps for a week. I am competing with orthopaedic clinics across Canada to log the most steps and raise the most money.

The event offers patients an opportunity to support their surgeons and health care teams. Every pledge received will help raise much-needed funds and heighten awareness of our vital research and patient programs.
